Monday 29 July - Grass Track Karting
An evening of Grass Track Karting (and barbeque) was had by those who attended. Weather for the event was less than ideal, a muggy evening with mist and a light intermittent rain which made the Karting especially interesting, and caused most of the competitors to skate around rather precariously both on and off the track. There was one practice session followed by three timed races with Trophy presentation at the end. Congratulations to the winner, Martin Stratford-Parson, who proved that the key to success is the use of your mouldy old driving gloves, which clearly had better "stick" than the apparel worn by the other competitors. |
